Play Skat online: in the browser, on Android and Windows, against strong bots or real players
Grand Skat is Skat under the International Skat Order, with no ads, no subscription and no coins. You play right away in the browser, with or without an account, against three bot levels or at open and private tables with other people. One purchase unlocks the full version, once, on every device.

What you get for free
- Online play against bots and against people, at open tables or at private tables with a join code. An account is free and only needed if you want friends, rankings and your results to stick around.
- Three bot levels. The strongest one uses Monte Carlo search over the cards it cannot see, bids sensibly and discards the skat the way an experienced player would. Bots are always labelled as bots; nobody plays against hidden programs here.
- A 7-lesson tutorial on real cards, from your first trick to the full scoring. See Learn Skat.
- Tournament rules under the International Skat Order: hand games, Schneider, Schwarz, Ouvert, Null, Grand, overbidding with the proper penalty. Pub rules such as Kontra and Re or Ramsch can be switched on or off per table.
- A bidding voice-over, six voices in German, English and Polish, with the real table shouts: "Kontra!", "Re!", "The rest is mine!"
- French tournament deck as the default, 239 avatars, four room themes, rankings, friends, achievements.
What the full version adds
A one-time purchase, around 9.99 euros depending on the store, valid on your phone, your Windows PC and in the browser as soon as you sign in with the same account. It includes offline play against the bots without internet, the Skat coach with hand analysis (replay every hand trick by trick and see what the strongest bot would have played, including a review of your bid), all five card decks including the German deck, all room themes and keyboard controls on PC. No further purchases, no renewal, no ads afterwards.
Where you play
- Browser: grandskat.com, nothing to install. On a phone, in landscape.
- Windows: as an app from the Microsoft Store or from itch.io, with automatic updates.
- Android: currently in closed testing before the Play Store release. Testers get the full version for good: become a tester.
- iPhone and iPad: in preparation.
One account, one purchase, one set of results: buy on PC and you play in the browser and on your phone with the same full version.
Why not one of the big Skat apps?
Because there you either watch ads, pay a subscription for the learning features, or let coins decide how much you play. Grand Skat sells a game, not your attention: no ads, no subscription, no coins, no bots pretending to be people. What is missing, we say openly: there is no league and no tournaments yet, and no portrait mode on phones. Both are on the list once enough players sit at the tables.
Questions
Do I need an account? No. Without an account you play as a guest against bots and at open tables. With an account you keep your ranking, friends and achievements and take the full version to every device.
Is the game in English? Fully: menus, rules, tutorial, voice-over and table shouts. The language follows your browser or device and can be changed in the menu. German, Polish and Silesian are there too.
Which rules are used? The International Skat Order. For pub play, Kontra and Re and Ramsch are table options.
Who is behind it? NeuraGrowth, a small studio from Poland with a soft spot for Skat in both decks. Contact: admin@neuragrowth.co. Legal notice in the Impressum, data handling in the privacy policy.
